Q

A
+ external validity from supporting studies as hofling observed nurses where 95% of them obeyed a doctor over the phone to increase dosages
- lack of internal validity as experiment may have been about trust as the experiment was done at yale so ppts trusted that nothing serious would happen to confederate as place was so prestigious
- Lack of ecological validity as the tasks were not like those we would encounter irl for example shooting someone is different from flicking a switch meaning the methodology lacks mundane realism
