Q

Describe the 2 divisions of the ANS?

A

-Sympathetic = increases alertness, muscles, metabolic rates. ‘Fight or flight’.

  • Parasympathetic = promotes digestion, during rest.
    ‘Rest and digest’.

-They can work together or independently.
