adverse effects of dobutamine
increase in bp and hr, increased ventricular response in pts w/ a fib, ventricular ectopic activity, increased size of MI, tolerance
subcue epinephrine
causes vasocx= limits diffusion of local anesthetics
therapeutic use of epi
hypersensitivity rxns, prolong local anesthetics action, bronchospasm, topical hemostatic agent on bleeding surfaces
therapeutic uses of dopa
diuretic in CHF, cardiogenic and septic shock
adverse rxns and contraindications to dopa
hypovolemia, tachycardial, anginal pain, arrhythmias, headache, hypertension, extravasation may cause ischemic necrosis and sloughing, MAOi or TCA= increases dopa too much
effects of amphetamine
prevents fatigue, decreases food intake, increase in blood pressure and hr, possible cardiac arrhythmia
therapeutic use of amphetamine
