  • The ppts were divided into 3 experimental groups and 1 control group.
  • The controls were not exposed to violence.
  • 3 groups (explained separately on the other flashcards)
  • All 4 groups of the children were placed in a room full of toys including the bobo doll whether they could play freely.
  • The researcher observed the children and noted any interactions with the Bobo doll.

What were the results?

A
  • Children expose to the aggressive behaviour exhibited nearly twice as much aggressive behaviour as the control group.
  • The Boys exhibited more total aggression than girls. Boys exposed to the male models showed significantly more aggressive gun play than boys exposed to the female model.
  • Gender model and sex appropriateness of behaviour is an important factor.

A

-The findings support the idea that children learn social behaviours through the process of observation learning - through the process of observation learning - through watching the behaviour of another person.
