Levels of biosafety (definitions)

A

BSL-1 - not know to cause diseaase in health adults - mild hazard
BSL-2 - mocrobes pose moderate hazards - e.g. staph. aureus
BSL-3 - treatable but can cause serious health problems - e.g. anthrax
BSL-4 - incurable agents - e.g. ebola
