the wager/argument for living/infinite chaos/finite wager v infinite reward
1) if there is a god he is infinitely beyond our comprehension (he bears no relation to us)
2) we are therefore incapable of knowing either what god is or if he exists
3) either god is or is not ( reason cannot decide anything. There is an infinite chaos seperating us)
4) how will you wage, you must wager
5) you have two things to lose – the truth and the good; you have two things to stake: 1) reas0n/will 2)knowledge/beatitude; you have two things to avoid – error and wretchedness
6) if you win , you win everything; if you lose, you lose nothing
7) there is an equal chance of gain and los. If you won only two lives instead of one, this is still a good bet ( if you won three, all the better etc. etc.
8) in this wager there is an eternity f life and happiness too gain/. Something finite (this life) is wagered on something eternal (the blessedness if god exists)
