Q

What is a produce or perish leader

A

Basically the opposite of a country club leader - They don’t care too much about how their staff feel whilst working, their main objective is producing as much as possible - High productivity, high standards in quality control and reaching targets. This probably wouldn’t be that great of a place to work in, as you would feel almost used.

A

High concern for people but less concerned for production - Probably would be quite an easy place to work in a business with management like this, as they don’t have ,uch care for productivity, product control etc.

Q

What us a team leader

A

Concerned with creating an environment where the team is happy, but also the team is responsible for making goods and services high in standard to the consumers.

In short they look after their teams, but hold them accountable for the function in the business.

Q

Depends on

A

Skills/ attitude of the manager
Situation - A crisis may dictate that there needs to be more concern for production than staff. For example: There is a huge backlog of orders that need to be fulfilled in the next 7 days. The managers may decide to work the employees as hard as legally possible, to ensure that the organisation can fulfil its demand and not losing out on orders (because if they don’t manage to fulfil the orders in time, they’ll have to refund customers)
