Difference between comprehensive and problem-focused assessment:
-comprehensive is during admission or first contact and problem focused in when a specific issue arises
Methods of assessments:
-inspection
-palpation
-percussion
-auscultation
Difference between Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: physiological vs. psychological needs
-physiological addresses basic needs (breathing, hydration, elimination)
-psychological addresses mental & emotional state

their main reason for seeking care
During an assessment, a nurse will gather information by 4 different ways:
-observation
-interviewing patient
-physical examination
-reviewing records/reports
Difference between values & ethics:
-ethics=moral principles that govern right and wrong behavior
-values-personal beliefs that influence behavior
