1 → anthesis of materialistic wealth - they make the best of what they have - festivity of ribbon shows compassion even during times of hardship
2 → use of the adjective brave - making the best of the situation while confident, even though it is “twice turned”, she is confident, mocking the upper class who only take pride in rich robes and belongings
