- can be cheaper then old traditional methods

Disadvantages of digital media
- not everyone has access the the Internet
- customers can get annoyed with pop ups and emails
- can be expensive due to investment of technology

Where one person passes on information about companies goods or services electronically

- more word of mouth

- easier to go to competitors if cheaper
