-2017 Boyle worked as a debt collector for ATO= developed concerns about the way that the ATO was using debt recovery powers= internal disclosure ATO use of garnishee notices= made a disclosure ab alleged toxic culture in ATO and use of garnishee notices= seizing funds without holders knowing= however neglected by the ATO–> then went to the inspector general of taxation= 2017 ATO offered NDA hw Boyle went to media and leaked the case= charged w 66 offences- including photographing info/ disclosing protected info/ using listening devices–? charges went down to 24
