The bridge ‘Maitri Setu’ has been built over the Feni river which flows between Indian boundary in Tripura State and Bangladesh. Feni originates in the South Tripura district. It has increased from 1062 in 2015-16 survey (NFHS-4) to 1090. While the sex ratio of urban areas of Bihar is only 982, the sex ratio of rural areas is 1111. According to the survey, the literacy rate among women in the age group of 15-49 in Bihar is only 55 percent, which is a cause for concern. The infant mortality rate in Bihar has come down to 46.8 (per thousand) from 48.1 in the previous survey. There has been tremendous improvement in the matter of family planning in Bihar.
