Q

Situations: Shotgun: Long gun from front (live/dead side)

A

Live Side: Do not break silohette, left comes up under barrel and grabs it and immediately you are driving forward, right hand slides up along chest at same time to stay out of line of fire, turn body as well. Right hand come down extended left arm and grabs weapon with overhand grip and left hand shifts down the weapon closer to the stock. Drop weight and bend elbows keeping them in tight (squeeze chest together). Now attacker cannot turn and get you back in the line of fire. Deliver groin kicks, knees, head butts to soften attacker. Sharply rotate your grip down, twisting gun. This breaks the attackers grip. Turn while hitting attacker twitch barrel of gun. Scan and move away. Keep barrel under control.

23
Q

Situations: Shotgun: Long gun from side in back of elbow

A

right side: When turning always look down over your shoulder and your hips does a kind of swing out motion.. This gets you offline quicker. Right elbow is what knocks barrel offline. Know you can proceed with the live side technique above (which also works for sawed-off shotgun).

Another variation is to hook and scoop the gun while giving a left elbow. Turn sharply hitting attacker with the gun, scan and get away. Note this will not work with a sawed off.

Left side: like the right side in terms of getting barrel offline with elbow. This goes into a hook and scoop. Deliver a right elbow or several and hug the gun closely to your body, turn sharply and hit attacker with it. Scan and get away.
