Combatives: Long Range Weapons: Front Kick to Groin
Lean back a little for some added power, envision kicking the balls straight up and exploding out the top of the person’s head.
Combatives: Long Range Weapons: Front Kick to Vertical Target,
Standard front kick, more accurate as you are actually aiming for target with the ball of your foot.
Combatives: Long Range Weapons: Round Kick
Bring the leg up and its like you are coming down on a bit of a diagonal. Rotate hips for power. You are hitting the target with your shin or the top of your foot.
Combatives: Long Range Weapons: Back Kick
The key to this kick to be accurate is to look back around the same shoulder as the leg you are kicking with to eyeball the target
Combatives: Medium Range Weapons: Low Punches
Bend Knees to change height of punch go low, do not bend over. Torque hips with punch for power.
Combatives: Medium Range Weapons: Punches with Movement
This is just punching while advancing forward, retreating backward, moving from side to side.
Combatives: Short Range Weapons: Long Knees
Like a regular knee but without the grab.
Combatives: Short Range Weapons: Knee with Grab
Much more powerful than a long knee. The key is to reach across and then crank down on the clavicle and bring the attacker to your knee.
Combatives: Short Range Weapons: Combination attacks 2-6 strikes.
Self - explanatory
Defenses: Defenses vs. Hand Strikes: 360 Outside Defenses - With Counter Attack
just a 360 with a simultaneous counter attack.
Defenses: Defenses vs. Hand Strikes: Inside Defense Against Straight and Low Punches w/Counter Attack
Just the inside defense with the counter attack. The key is to not parry the arm too much. A slight movement is all that tis needed as along as you move your head out of the way as well.
Defense vs. Kick to Groin - (Leg Check w/ Re-direction)
Always follow with counter attacks
Situations: Preventing attacks with combatives
Self - explanatory
Situations: Shoves or Grabs: Preventative: Educational Block
This is the throat strike or pressing in on the throat, just above the arch of the clavicle.
Situations: Shoves or Grabs: Aggressive: Front Kick or Strike
Unlike the educational block, this is intended on hurting the attacker who is attempting to shove or grab you.
Situations: Chokes: Front Static 1&2 Handed Plucks
1 handed pluck: cup one hand scoop down on attackers arm at the wrist while palm striking. Rotate hips for power.
2 handed pluck: both hands cupped and scoop down and out on both attacks arms, while delivering a groin strike
Situations: Chokes: Front being pushed
one arm comes up straight up and the key is to tuck your head and lock the attacker’s wrist. Grab attacker’s other hand with your free hand and turn your body and give an elbow to your attacker with the hand that was straight up.
Situations: Chokes: Side Being Pushed
When extended: hook with one arm and push attackers forearm away with your other hand.
When Condensed: double pluck at attackers wrist and give a headbutt or a knee to the groin.
Situations: Chokes: Behind Pushed/Pulled
Kind of like from the front but the aim is to turn diagonally and get off line quickly and deliver counters.
Situations: Headlocks: from side
one hand strike the groin while the other hand comes up and grab attack by hair, ear, eye or nose to pull head back to get attacker off balance. Then collapse arm flush to attack and drive straight down to take the down. Counter attack.
Situations: Headlocks: from side being punched
put hand in front of your face to block punches. With your other arm, reach around and try to hook attackers punching arm. Once hooked, lock it up and stand up straight to stretch attacker out. Counter attacker.
