What is meant by SAMSARA?
Cycle of birth, death and rebirth
Death is not the end but reborn again according to KAMMA where they are born again
Only way to escape samsara is to overcome negative emotions and thoughts to reach Nibbana
What is meant by Nibbana?
When mind is completely contented and at peace
No negative KAMMA to make them reborn
Literally means ‘blowing out’ so getting rid of anger greed and hatred
Not a physical place but a state of mind
From Nibbana, what happens if you die?
They enter parinbbana
Nibbana after death

The Sangha - monks and nuns
These people leave behind families homes etc and go to live in monasteries - ViHARAs
