What do Christians mean by the trinity?
One God but 3 forms - the father, the son and the holy spirit
What do you understand by God the Father?
It describes gods role as almighty ruler and creator of the universe
What do you understand by God the Son?
Christians believe that God became human as Jesus to allow humans to mend their relationship with God through sacrificing his own life
What do you understand by the Holy Spirit?
Christians believe Gods force is all around us and they find comfort in this belief to guide people through their lives
Christian sometimes think of the trinity as a triangle. What’s in the trinity triangle?
God in the middle and each point as the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. Each one is different but all needed for God to be whole
How can you compare the trinity to an orange?
One orange but 3 forms - stops you being hungry, sweet nice taste, source of vitamins

He performed miracles, breaking laws of nature
What did people think of Jesus?
Believed Jesus was God incarnate
This means ‘in flesh’
Known as Son of God but actually they believed he was wholly God and wholly human
Jesus said he was Son of man to show his human side as well as God
What do Jewish mean by he Messiah?
Someone sent by God to bring peace and harmony to the world when needed
Christians believed Jesus was the messiah sent to save them from sin and lead them back to God
Jewish are still waiting for their messiah
Why do Christians think Jesus came?
They believe God came to the world as Jesus to show humans the loving approach which people need to take to God to overcome sin and be saved

Relates to passage from Jewish scripture predicting messiah would enter on a donkey, so Jesus showing himself as the messiah
