Can you explain The Four Noble Truths?

A

The Four Noble Truths are central in the teachings of Buddhism. The First Noble Truth is Dukkha which is that life involves Suffering and Suffering is real. The Second Noble Truth is Samudaya which is the cause of Suffering which in Buddhism is attachment. The Third Noble Truth is Nirodha which is the End of Suffering which is that it is possible to end Suffering and there is a way to do so and The Fourth Noble Truth is Magga which is the path to the End of Suffering.

Can you outline the Five Precepts?

A

The Five Moral Precepts of Buddhism are refrain from taking life (This Precept is why most Buddhists are vegetarian), refrain from taking what is not given (Do not Steal), refrain from sexual misconduct, refrain from wrong speech, refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind (Drugs and Alcohol).
