What is Predestination?
Predestination is the belief that all events particularly the fate of human souls are determined in advance by God.
What happened in the life of the Prophet Muhammad?
Muhammad was born in Mecca into the Quraysh tribe. His father died before his birth and his mother died when he was six. He was raised by his grandfather and later his uncle Abu Talib. The Prophet was known for his honesty and trustworthiness he was nicknamed Al-Amin. The Prophet married a wealthy businesswoman. At age forty while meditating in the Cave of Hira Muhammad received his first revelation from the Angel Gabriel. Muhammad began preaching monotheism and tried to get people to abandon idolatry and polytheism and because of this Muhammad was persecuted. Muhammad went to Medina and became a spiritual and political leader which led to Muhammad raising an army to battle the Meccans. A peace treaty was signed between Muhammad and the Meccans but after the peace treaty was broken Muhammad led a peaceful conquest of Mecca and got rid of the idols in the Kaaba dedicating it to Allah.
