Q
What are the:
- Electrons
- Protons
- Nutrons
And their relative Mass/Charge
A

Electron - very small Mass, -1 Charge
Proton - 1 Mass, +1 Charge

Q

What are the :

  • Periods
  • Groups
  • PCP(Predicting Charge Properties)
A

Periods - Elements with similar propertise ocuring at regular intervals

Groups - Elements in same column, have the same number of electrons in outer shell

PCP - Due to all elements in a colum have the same number of elements in the outer shell (all will react at the same time)

Q

What are Compounds

A
  • 2 or more different elements held together by chemical bonds
  • There can be millions or trillions of atoms, like salt for example

Q

What is a formula

A
  • It consits of huge structurs containing millions to billions of atoms, like salt
  • There are ‘Ionic bonds’ to bulid large substances ( they arn’t counted as Molecules)
  • If one were to have billions of atoms, then the other would have the same
