Thinking & Breaking Distance Flashcards

(6 cards)

1
Q

The dirver’s reaction time

A

The slower the reaction tiem, the further the car moves before the brakes are pressed. Anything that increases reaction times will increase the thinking distance.

A

Then braking distance will be shorter when there is more friction. There is less frction on wet or icy roads. This means the breaking distance will be longer.
