Q

what is the process for testing for non-reducing sugars

A

complete reducing sugars test
if solution stays blue do the following steps
add equal amounts of food sample and dilute hydrochloric acid
add sodium hydrogencarbonate solution to neutralise
test with PH paper for alkaline PH
add 2cm of benedict’s solution
heat in water bath for 5mins should turn orange or red
