Cell Group Flashcards
This derived from grouo B donor
Anti A
Coloring agent of anti A
Trypan blue
Prevent bacterial contam of anti A
0.1% sodium azide
This is derived from group A donor
Anti B
Coloring agent anti B
Acriflavin
Preservative of anti B
0.1% sodium azide
Derived from group O donor
Anti AB
The patient is added to known grp A and Grp B rbc. The presence of anti A and anti B in the pt serum will give a specific pattern of agglutinates
Serum group
To perform the cell grouping, the patient red cell are added to the specific anti sera
Cell grouping
Differ in amount of ag present on the rbc cell membrane,
Abo subgroup
The resukt of less effective enzymes
Subgroup
Subgroup of what ABO are more common than what
A is common than B
Anti A lectin
Dolichos biflorus
This cause mixed field agglutination when plycolonal anti A or anti A1B is used
a3 red cells
This appears small small agglutination with a backgouo of unagglutinated rbc
Mixed field agglutination
Occurs less than A subgroup
B subgroup
Anti b lecctij is
Bandaraea simplificifolia
This gene is an amorph and result in little o no production of l fucosyltransferase
Bombay phenotype
These are protein molecules that are produced in response to antigenic stimulation and that demonstrate soecific antibody specificity
Immunoglobulins
It reacts with foreign ab not present on the pt own rbc
Alloantibody
Reacts when an Ag on the patient is own and with the same Ag on the cell of the individual
AutoAb
They are produced by individual who lack A and B ag respectively
Anti A and Anti B
Produced by group O phenotype. They are not simple mixture of anti A and Anti B but contain a third Ab that cross react with an Ag present on both A and B rbc
Anti A, B
Naturally occuring Igm ab produced by some A2 and A2B individual
Anti A
