Q

what are the functions of T Lymphocytes ?

A
  • Have cell surface receptors to sense antigens or pathogens
*Kill infected cells by inducing Apoptosis
  • Activates other useful cells when an immune response is triggered

Q

What is Phagocytosis ?

A

The process Where:
* Pseudopodia form from phagocyte and engulf pathogen
* Pathogen is dragged into cell and placed into lysosome
* Enzymes then released into lysosome to digest pathogen

Q

What’s an Antibody ?

A
  • Proteins produced by plasma cells to bind to and neutralize the harmful substances such as Viruses or Bacteria
*Bind to another pathogen with second arm eventually forming clump of pathogens that are easier to kill (Agglutination)
