What makes up the Central Nervous System and its function
Brain and Spinal cord; Involentary and responsible for sensation and mental activites
Cerebrum lobes/functions
Largest part of the brain in the front;
Frontal- Motivation, Aggression, and mood
Temporal- Memory, Hearing, and Smell
Parietal- Sensory Information
Occipital- Vision
Cerebellums place/function
Located back bottom of the brain; balence, cordnation, and movement
Brain Stem place/functions
Located at the center bottom of the brain; Midbrain, Pons, and Medulla oblongata control Vital functions
ex: Breathing, Coughing, Sneezing
Meninges
Layers of connective tissue that protects the brain and spinal cord
Pia Mater/Tender mother
Deepest layer of the menings and is responsible for protection through the cerebrospinal fluid
Arachnoid
Intermediate webbed layer of the meninges and is to cushion and protect the brain
Dura Mater/Tough mother
Superficial layer of the meninges, responsible for protecting the brain
