Straits
Narrow waterways joining two larger bodies of water
Isthmuses
Narrow strips of land, bordered on both sides by water, connecting two larger bodies of land

Bodies of water forming an indentation of the shoreline.
Harbors
Parts of a body of water along the shore deep enough to anchor a ship
Peninsula
Pieces of land that project into bodies of water and are connected to a larger landmass
Archipelagos
Large groups or chains of islands
De Facto Sovereign Nations
Nations that are not widely recognized by other nations (ex: Palestine)
Ethnographic boundaries
reflect divisions form culture or political ideas (Ex: Czechslovakia)
