How does secure child react in strange situation?
Parent is secure base. Distressed when mom left and happy when she returned.
How does avoidant child react in strange situation?
Parent is not secure base. Doesn’t care if parent leaves and slow to show positive reaction upon return.
How does resistant child react in strange situation?
“Clingy” to parent but rejects parents attempt to interact. Child doesn’t explore and is angry.
How does disorganized child react in strange situation?
Shows odd behavior around parent. Back/forth erratic behavior.

Except life choices and death, regret, bitter, lash out
