What does Cephalic mean?
Superior (head region)
Cervical
anterior of neck

Ipsilateral

Describe the anatomical positioning
-erect/straight posture
-face forward
-thumbs lateral

Midsagittal
cuts perfectly into the midline (divides body into L & R)
Parasagittal
unevenly cuts into midline
Sagittal
cuts into left and right portions
Transverse
horizontal cut of body (divided into SUPERIOR & INFERIOR)
Frontal or Coronal
cut into ANTERIOR & POSTERIOR sections (basically, front and back)
Oblique
angulated/diagonal cut
