A
Law of Exercise: relationship between (S)timulus and (R)esponse becomes stronger when a stimules is follow (law of use). relationship between S and R gets weaker when stimulus is seldom followed by the same response (law of disuse).
Law of Effect:
relationship between S and R becomes stronger when response is followed by reward.
Becomes weaker when R is followed by punishment.
- Rewarding is more efficient than punishing.
- changes behaviour, but only for the time that the reward/punishment remains

focuses on motives, emotions, and thoughts that trigger an individual to perform certain behaviour.
- Crucial for explaining behaviour
- 1967, Ulric Neisser published “cognitve psychology” which was the first systematic and empirical desscription of information processing in humans.
