When should resuscitation attemps be stopped during out-of-hospital arrests?

A

Aystole - >20 mins and reversible causes identified and corrects (and not special circumstances e.g. under 18, hypothermic, drowning, poisoning/overdose, pregnancy)
PEA - should involve senior clinicians to make decision if >20 minutes and paramedics feel is futile
VF/VT - should be transferred to hospital
