Asthma
acute condition caused by bronchconstriction and excess mucous production
signs of asthma

genetic disorder leading to thick mucous production, asthma like symptoms and gastrointestinal problems
Pneumonia
infection of the lungs and is the leading cause of pedi deaths worldwide
Pneumothorax
accumulation of air in the plural space, diminished or absent lung sounds
Pulmonary edema
accumulation of fluid in the lungs
causes and signs of pulmonary edema
CHF, toxic inhalation, rales,pedal edema,orthopnea, difficulty breathing while laying down
PE
blockage of a pulmonary artery due to a blood clot that has traveled form the lower legs, Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Signs of PE
long bone fracture, chest pain, tachypnea,hemotypsis,tachycardia
Respiratory syncytial Virus
respiratory infection very common in infants and children,extrmeely contagious
