the reasons or justifications for a proposal
Strategic Planning
the process of identifying long term organizational goals, strategies and resources
Mission statement
A statement that reflects the firm’s vision, purpose, and values. They usually focus on long-term challenges and goals, the importance of the firm’s stakeholders and a commitment to the firms role as a corporate citizen
Critical Success Factor
a high priority objective that must be achieved to fulfill the companies objective
SWOT
Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
SWOT Analysis
focuses on a specific product, project, operating division, the entire company, or the entire mission statement. It is to avoid goals that are unreasonable, unprofitable, or unachievable

a formal way of asking for IT support

Technical Feasibility

the proposed system will be used effectively after it has been developed.

the projected benefits of the proposed system outweigh the estimated costs usually considered the TCO
Schedule Feasibility
the project can be implemented in an acceptable time frame
TCO
Total Cost of Ownership: ongoing support and maintenance cost and acquisition costs
Tangible costs/Tangible Benefits
Can be measured in dollars
