Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
A federal agency established to improve the quality of safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for Americans
Assisted living facilities
Allow individuals who can care for themselves rent or purchase an apartment in the facility; provide services such as meals housekeeping laundry transportation social events and basic medical care
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Another division of the USDHHS; concerned with the causes spread and control of diseases in populations
Clinics (also known as Satellite clinics or satellite centers)
an establishment or hospital department where outpatients are given medical treatment or advice, especially of a specialist nature.
Concierge Medicine (retainer medicine)
A type of personalized health care. In exchange for an annual or monthly fee, an enhanced level of care is provided by a primary care physician. The physician can care for fewer patients while having more availability.
Dental offices
One or more dentists can own or a office that employs a group of dentists. In some areas can be in retail or department stores. Can be for everyone or for certain age groups or conditions
Emergency Care Services
Provide care for victims or accidents or sudden illness.
Free-for-service compensation
Health payment plan in which doctors or providers are paid for each service they render
Food and Drug administration (FDA)
Responsible for regulating food and drug products sold to the public; also regulates medical devices cosmetics and cellphones
Genetic Counseling centers
Work with couples or individuals who are pregnant or considering pregnancy. Perform prenatal services
Health Departments
Provide health services as directed by the USDHHS; also provide specific services needed by the state or local community
Health Insurance Plans
People pay a fee for health coverage. Used instead of health care when too expensive
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
A set of regulations that is required to be followed by all health care agencies. Because health care costs rise agencies do not want to offer health care this act helps with issues.

Preventing health care fraud and abuse
Tax related health provisions
Application and enforcement of group health plan requirements
Revenue offsets
Health maintenance organizations (HMO)
Both health care delivery systems and health insurance. Provide total health care services that are directed toward preventive health care
Home health care
Agencies are designed to provide care at home.
