The percentage of the labor force, or a specific demographic thats jobless and looking for work
Unemployment Rate
all education that takes place after highschool including university, college, community college, certification, or trade school
Postsecondary Education
An undergraduate degree from a college or university, usually completed after 4 or 6 years of study
Bachelors Degree
A course that needs to be completed before a student can enroll in a second college
Prerequisite
A 2 or 3 year postsecondary undergraduate degree
Associate Degree
Loans made by banks, credit unions, or other organizations with terms and conditions set by the lender, including higher or valuable interest rates
Private Student Loans
Loans made by the government with terms and conditions set by law, often have a lower fixed interest rates
Federal Student Loans
when debt payments are held of for or until a certain time and no interest occurs
Deferred
debt payments are held off for or until a certain time but interest continues to occur
Forbearance
The federal application required to receive any financial aid, including scholarships, grants, loans, offered through a college or university
FAFSA
Any form of financial aid that does not need to be repaid
Gift aid
A document that shows whether or not you are eligible for federal student aid
Student Aid Report
Financial aid that doesn’t need t be repaid; usually awards based on achievments
Scholarship
Financial aid that does not usually need to be repaid; usually awarded based on financial need
Grant
A program that allows students to work part time while continuing their studies
Work study
An award presented to students who display high educational excellence
Academic scholarship
A set of tests that qualify students to earn college credit if they pass
CLEP
The messurment of gain or loss generated in an investment relative to the amount of money invested
Return On Investment
The total cost of education expenses needed for a student to attend an educational institution
Net Price
The percentage of students who finish the program they began
