What are some Tips to building a strong Vocabulary?
*Read Often and read a variety of material, including difficult material.
* Ask for clarification in class and online
* Try to remember the word in its usage, whether in a phrase, sentence, or explanation.
* Keep a running list of words you do not know (put them in the memo section of your smartphone)
*Make connections through rhyming the new word with familiar words.
*Look up words that you do not know
*Draw a picture of the word definition on an index card.
