IQ changed from 85 to 70. so there for anyone who had an IQ of 70 or below would be qualified to receive services

how do we diagnose ADHD?

what catorgory does ADHD fall under?
physical and other health impairments
what age can we diagnose ADHD?
6-7 years old
whats the difference between ADD, and ADHD?
HD- needs to move AD- can’t focus
What is the most common physical disability?
Cerebral Palsy
what are the causes of Cerebral Palsy?
pre mature, low birth weight, lack of oxygen to the brain.
What does CP affect?
mobility, speech, can’t control muscles, uncoordation, one side or both
Acquired causes of learning disability
smoking, drugs, alcohol, difficult labor, loss of oxygen to the brain, premature birth rate, trauma cause by medical instruments
10 characteristics of children with learning disabilities
hyperactivity, perceptual- motor impairments, emotional lability, coordination problems, disorders of attention, impulsivity, disorders of memory and thinking, academic difficulties, language deficits, equivocal neurological signs.

how many words should a 3 year old have in their vocabulary?
450 words, 3-4 years explosion of words
What impacts how many words a child has?
poverty level, books exposed to, experiences they have more=better
by what age do kids start to use 4-5 words in a sentence?
4-5 years old
