“The radio was used to spread Nazi PROPAGANDA . To make sure that every family could access these messages [the Volksempfänger,] the “people’s receiver”, was mass produced. State radio put across one idea above all else: the greatness of the German people. A propaganda ministry was set up.”
NATIONAL UNITY was built (in part by blaming the Jews for Germany’s problems). The Nazis also created a historical myth to support their ideas: “pure bred Germans” were the descendants of “noble medieval knights” who had been “a uniquely advanced and cultured race”.
“The Nazi State gave loans to encourage healthy couples to have MORE CHILDREN . Unusually productive mothers got medals.”
Children were encouraged to join NAZI YOUGHT GROUPS. The Young Girl’s League and the Hitler Youth
