Q

What is the current that regulates the
Central Valley’s climate?

How does it do so?

A
  • *The Humbolt Current**
  • (Chileans smoke a lot of weed to chill out)*

It runs cold water north from Antarctica along the entire west coast of South America.

This current also brings cool winds with it, which get blown up the river valleys through the Coastal Ranges of mountains that protect the Central Valley. Thus regulating the otherwise warm temperatures.

Most grapes are distilled for Pisco here. Pisco Sours, anyone?
