Formula Functions: Nourishing yin and expelling heat from exterior

Diagnosis: At the late stage of febrile disease, latent heat in the yin region/level

Symptoms: Fever at night and cooling down to normal in the morning, absence of sweating as the fever subsides, emaciation with no loss of appetite, flushed cheeks, red tongue with little coating, thready and rapid pulse

Applications: Pulmonary tuberculosis, anemia and other consumptive chronic diseases

Artemisia Annua and Soft-Shelled Turtle Shell Decoction:

Ingredients
1.BieJia(CarapaxAmydaeSinensis)
2.Qing Hao(HerbaArtemisiaeAnnyae)
3.Sheng Di Huang (Radix RehmanniaeGlutinosae)
4.ZhiMu (RhizomaAnemarrhenaeAsphodeloidis)
5.Mu Dan Pi (CortexMoutanRadicis)

Preparation: Decoction, add Qing Hao at last 3 minutes

Contraindication & Cautions
1.Early stage of warm-febrile disease when it is still in the qi level
2.Cases with tendency to convulsion due to yin deficiency

Diagnosis: Night sweating due to yin deficiency fire

Symptoms: Fever, night sweating, flushed face, irritability, dry mouth and lips, dry stools, dark yellow and scanty urine, red tongue, rapid pulse

Applications: SLE, tumor, cancer, tuberculosis, etc.

2.Sheng Di Huang (Radix Rehmanniae)
3.Shu Di Huang (Cooked Radix Rehmanniae)
4.Huang Liang (Radix Scutellariae)
5.Huang Qin (RhizomaCoptidis)
6.Huang Bai (Cortex Phellodendri)
7.Huang Qi (Radix Astragali)

Preparation
1.Powder, take 15 g as a draft before meals
2.Decoction

Contraindication & Cautions: Cases with stomach and spleen deficiency
