A
the energy for a wave is dependant on the strength of the wind, its duration and length of the fetch

A
Comes from the frictional drag of the wind moving over the ocean surface

How do tides influence cls?
A
The moon pulls the water towars it creating a high tide.
SPRING TIDES- moon, sun an earth are all aligned
NEAP TIDES- moon and sun are at right angles

How does geology influence cls?
A
Weak resistance e.g. clay= little resistance to erosion, weatherig and mass movement
faults and cracks from weak points means it is easy for processes t occur

How do ocean currents influence cls?
A
they transfer heat energy around the world + including climate which then impacts weathering processes
