Royal prerogative date back to medieval times, monarchy and hereditary peers still exist, HoL comes from undemocratic era

A

Allowed anti terrorist measures to be introduced after 9/11, allowed 2010 coalition to be formed, can be changed without referendums or supermajorities

A

Power isn’t broken up, legislative has supreme authority but regular power lays with executive which lets gov fulfill promises

A

Royal prerogative is hardly used, HoL has faced reforms, changes would cause more issues (e.g. US constitution with harmful gum laws)
