What is sensory memory?

A

Memory stores for each of the five senses. Encoding responds to the sense itself. Huge capacity, small duration.

What is short term memory?

A

Limited capacity memory store. Encoding is mainly acoustic, capacity is from 5-9 items and duration is up to 30 seconds without rehearsal.
