Formatting and layout features
A
- Headings = outline proceeding content/direct readers
- Subheadings = provide more detail about certain sections of the text
- Dotpoints = structured list that clearly provides info relating to the overall idea
- Tables/columns = present clearer info for a specific purpose
- Bolding/italics/underline = if occurs frequently then it creates consistency in the way something is presented and aids understanding

- Must include line number and examples
- Usually texts will begin with general/background information, then narrow to more specific detail or a new idea
