Q

Outline the aims and procedures of Asch’s line study.

A

A - Investigate the extent to which social pressure from a majority group could affect a person to conform.
P - He used a lab experiment of 50 male students in a line judgment task, they had to choose which line was longer (A,B or C). Confederates gave 12/16 wrong answers on purpose, they said wrong first then the actual participant would answer last.
