- ACE Inhibitor
- Prevents conversion of AG1 into AG2, therefore prevents vasconstriction and increased blood pressure. Results in vasodilation and decreased GFR.
- PO
- A. Commonly used as a vasodilator
- Used in congestive heart failure cases
- Used for treatment of systemic hypertension
B. Can also be used in the treatment of CRF and PLN - Monitor for signs of hypotension, monitor blood work regularly for renal fx and electrolytes
