  5. Monitor for signs of hypotension and bradycardia

Drug: Enalapril

  1. ACE Inhibitor
  2. Prevents conversion of AG1 into AG2, therefore prevents vasconstriction and increased blood pressure. Results in vasodilation and decreased GFR.
  3. PO
  4. A. Commonly used as a vasodilator
    - Used in congestive heart failure cases
    - Used for treatment of systemic hypertension
    B. Can also be used in the treatment of CRF and PLN
  5. Monitor for signs of hypotension, monitor blood work regularly for renal fx and electrolytes
