Russian revolution:

A

russian soilders killed army short supplies struggling
food shortages. home ppl starving poverty high prices due to tsar nicholas’s stupid ruling and bad decisions made by the provisional government.
feb 1917,russian triggered and riots first revolution people got shot by the army
2nd October 1917=coups led by Lenin Bolsheviks.-communist group used the symbol of peace bread and land to promote his views and believed all power should go towards the soviets so 6th 7th November they rioted and stormed into the winter palace and arrested the provisional government .
tsar forced to abdicate in 15th march 1917
after the revolution Russia signed a treaty w Germany on the 3rd march 1918 formally ending their involvement in ww1.

how did bolshevik revolution lead to conflict:

A

USA,UK AND USSR became sus of eachother bc they had different beliefs
soviet union-communist country little rights
USA and UK were capitalist democracies valuing freedom
believed their way was better wanted to prove this-caused tension and confrontation
soviet and germany rising on europe in the 1930s
hitler took full power of germany-1934
2 powers immediate rivals
as fascism and communism 2 completely different things
despite this both were mutual as they both wanted to expand their land
august 1939: molotov ribbentrop pact-non agression pact
with this pact germany invaded poland on sept 1st 1939 and the soviet union invaded from the east side later that month caused conflict and triggered britain to dcelare war 2 days after invasion -3rd september 1939

conflict after the molotov ribbentrop pact?

A

Germany invaded Poland on the 1st September 1939 later on in that month USSR invaded from the east.2 days later after on the 3rd September.
USA and USSR got sus off Russia’s loyalty and Russia angry as UK and USA took long to fight so assumed they did it on purpose so Nazis would focus on attacking Russia which would make both Germany and Ussr weaker by them fighting each other
USSR constantly searching for security to safeguard themselves against future agression.
USA didnt agree as promoted trade and democratic states
these created tension and erupted to cold war.
