Need to recognize needs; information search; evaluate alternatives; purchase; post purchase behavior

Needs.
What external stimuli trigger needs?
Sight; smell; taste; touch; hearing
What are the two channels for information search?
Internal Information (recall info from memory or experience) and external Information (reviews, opinions, marketing controlled non-marketing controlled)
What is an evoked set?
Group of brands, resulting from an informations search, from which the buyer can choose
What are post purchase behaviors?
Customer satisfaction; customer retention; repurchase; word of mouth
What is involved in extensive decision making?
High levels of involvement; high cost goods; evaluation of many brands; long time to decide; may experience cognitive dissonance
What factors determine level of involvement?
Previous experience; interest; perceived risk of negative consequences; social visibility
