Sexual reproduction
A
The joining of male and female gametes. The mixture of genetic information front the two parents leads to variety in the offspring.

Asexual reproduction
A
No fusion of gametes are involved and there is only one parent. There is not mixing of genetic information therefore no genetic variation in the offspring. These are then genetically identical and known as clones.
