What is a correlation?
-A link/relationship between two variables which are also referred to as co variables
-No IV or DV so no manipulation is done by the researcher
What is a correlation co efficient?
-correlation statistical test which tells you have weak or strong the correlation is
-the closer it is to 0 more weaker it is
What’s the difference between a correlation and an experiment?
An experiment looks at the difference between an iV and DV
A correlation looks at the relationship between two co variables
What is a strength of correlation?
No manipulation can be done by the researcher which means that studying sensitive issues wouldn’t be a problem.
What is a weakness of correlations?
Difficult to establish cause and effect of the relationship between the two co variables as it may have been due to other extraneous variables.
