sacred protection from all attack (verbal, physical). This religious law was so powerful that those who hurt a tribune could be executed freely.
Tribunal provocatio
(appeal) this allowed any citizen to appeal to the Tribune against the action of another magistrate. The tribune could investigate and block the action if they saw fit.
Tribunal intersessio
(Veto), allowed the tribune to stop any law passed by a consul, decision of the senate, and any law passed by any council or assembly
Role of the censors
in charge of enrollment, they expelled everyone they deemed ‘unworthy’ of continued membership
