What is digital forensics?
An investigation that occurs after a cyber attack.
What is a file extension?
Determines the file type.
What is a black-hat hacker?
A hacker with malicious intent.
What is a white-hat hacker?
A hacker paid by organisations to find vulnerabilities in a system.
What is a grey-hat hacker?
A hacker that hacks into a system without the owner’s permission, but will find vulnerabilities and paid by organisations to fix them.
What are the properties of a file?
Information about the file (time/date of creation, modification dates etc.)
What is EXIF data used for?
Finding more about an image like its location.
What are MD5 hashes used for?
Seeing if a file has been tampered with.
What is steganography used for?
Hiding a secret message inside a file.
What is a cipher?
A way to encode data.
What is a Reverse Google Image Search used for?
Finding more about an image online.
